About the Programme:
Andre Foods International (AFI) in partnership with United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP) started implementing Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme (TSFP) and Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN) in Rhino Camp Refugee settlement in June 2017.
TSFP/MCHN is aimed at reducing Moderate Acute Malnutrition amongst all children and adults in Rhino camp refugee settlement through supplementary feeding. Under TSFP, the target beneficiaries are children aged 6 to 59 months, children of 6 years and above, and adults.
The children of age 6 to 59 months are provided with premix, CSB++, whereas the rest of the target population are provided with the premix (CSB+), vegetable oil and sugar. The MCHN programme on the other hand targets children under 2 years that are provided with the premix CSB++, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers of children age 0 to 23 months and these are provided with the premix CSB+, vegetable oil and sugar.
The MCHN/TSFP programmes is currently sustaining over 1,700 refugees
