Request for Quotation: Supply of Orange-Fleshed Sweet Potato Vines

Andre Foods International (AFI) invites qualified suppliers, farmers, and seed producers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of Orange-Fleshed Sweet Potato (OFSP) vines to communities across the Karamoja sub-region.

Total: 20,900 bags, each containing a minimum of 1,000 cuttings.
Delivery locations
Vines must be delivered to the following districts and sub-counties:
- Karenga — Sangar, Kawalakol & Kakwanga Sub-counties
- Kaabong — Lolelia South, Sidok, Morungole & Kalapata T.C
- Abim — Chamkok
- Kotido — Longaroe, Kotido Sub-county & Kacheri T/C
- Napak — Matany
- Nabilatuk — Korike Sub-county
- Nakapiripirit — Loreng, Loregae & Kakomongole Sub-counties
- Amudat — Karita, Lokales & Loroo
Minimum specifications
- Vines must be healthy, vigorous, fresh, and free from pests, diseases, and physical damage.
- Vines must be true-to-type for the specified variety.
- Vines must be harvested immediately prior to transportation and delivered fresh to preserve viability and planting quality.
- Each bag must contain a minimum of 1,000 cuttings.
- Vines must be packed in well-aerated sacks or bags to prevent overheating and deterioration in transit.
- Suppliers must state their proposed delivery timelines and payment/credit terms.
- Quoted prices must be inclusive of loading, transportation, offloading, and delivery to all locations listed above.
Documents required with your quotation
- Company profile
- Valid trading/business licence
- Certificate of registration/incorporation
- Valid tax clearance certificate (shared to AFI TIN 1010682749)
- Current, valid Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) certification
- Evidence of experience in similar large-quantity supplies, with at least 3 contactable references or past contracts
How quotations will be evaluated
Compliance with technical specifications, price competitiveness, delivery timeline, and payment terms.
How to submit
Submit a sealed quotation clearly marked with reference 2026/038/AFI, no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday, 17 July 2026, to any of the following offices:
- AFI Head Office — Millennium Plaza, Room ML 020, Plot 69/71 Spring Road, Bugolobi, Kampala
- AFI Sub-offices — Moroto and Kotido
Late submissions will not be considered.
Good to know
- AFI reserves the right to verify all information submitted by bidders.
- The contract may be awarded to one supplier or split across multiple suppliers, depending on availability, capacity, price, and delivery schedules.
- Successful supplier(s) must permit pre-delivery inspection of their multiplication fields by the respective District Agricultural Officers (DAOs) and AFI representatives. Only vines that pass inspection will be approved for harvesting and delivery.
- AFI reserves the right to reject any vines that do not conform to specifications or fail inspection.
- AFI reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation and is not bound to award the contract to the lowest bidder.
