Request For Quotations For Construction Of Two (2) 10m X 10m Wooden Greenhouses In Nakapiripirit And Kotido Districts (Works)

PURPOSE

AFI invites eligible and qualified contractors with proven experience to submit quotations for the construction of wooden greenhouses in Nakapiripirit and Kotido districts.

SCOPE OF WORK 

The scope of work shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Supply of all required materials
  • Site preparation and land leveling
  • Construction and installation of the greenhouse structures
  • Any necessary earthworks and structural support
  • Installation of shade nets and related fittings
  • Handover of complete and functional greenhouse units

GREENHOUSE SPECIFICATIONS

  • Dimensions: 10 meters × 10 meters; Gutter Height: 3 meters
  • Type: Wooden shade-net greenhouse
  • Shade Net: UV-stabilized (140 gsm); N75 for horizontal and N25 for vertical application
  • Structure: Treated wooden frame
  • Covering: Shade net/cloth roofing
  • Ventilation: Diffused, thermic, anti-dust, anti-drip/fog properties
  • Design: Contractor to propose design based on these specifications
  • Location: Selected schools in Nakapiripirit and Kotido districts

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Interested bidders must submit the following:
a) Company profile
b) Valid trading license
c) Certificate of registration/incorporation
d) Valid Tax Clearance Certificate
e) Proven experience in similar works (include client references)

QUOTATION REQUIREMENTS

Submissions must include:

  • Detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and technical specifications: A breakdown of all costs, including materials, labour, and any other relevant expenses.
  • A structural design
  • At least two references for similar assignments
  • Proposed payment terms
  • Delivery/implementation timeline
  • Validity period of at least 30 days

EVALUATION CRITERIA

Bids will be evaluated based on:

  • Compliance with technical specifications
  • Relevant experience and past performance
  • Price competitiveness and value for money

SUBMISSION DETAILS

Quotations must be submitted in PDF format via email or as sealed hard copies not later than 16:00 hours on 26th March 2026.

Hard copy submissions may be delivered to:

  • AFI Head Office, Millennium Plaza, Plot 69/71 Spring Road, Bugolobi, Kampala; Millennium Plaza Room M.L 020
  • AFI Sub-offices in Moroto or Kotido

AFI reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation and is not bound to award the contract to the lowest bidder.
